{"id":48,"date":"2024-08-11T12:14:20","date_gmt":"2024-08-11T11:14:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oceangateshealthcare.com\/develop\/?page_id=48"},"modified":"2024-09-27T20:50:52","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T19:50:52","slug":"live-in-care","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oceangateshealthcare.com\/?page_id=48","title":{"rendered":"Live-In Care"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A live-in caregiver is an experienced professional who moves into the home of a client<br>and provides care during waking hours.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Live-in service is not 24-hour care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The caregiver must be able to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep and have a comfortable place to rest and get privacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The caregiver will be available at night for occasional needs; but if help is needed on a nightly basis, the caregiver will become deprived of sleep and the situation may become unsafe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a situation is determined to be unsafe, a second caregiver may be needed temporarily to work at night billed at an hourly rate so that the live-in caregiver can get their rest. This is called a Live-in Plus service. The case managers work closely with the client, family and caregiver to determine when this arrangement is appropriate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Services can be cancelled at any time with 24 hours notice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rates include caregiver, case manager and 24-hour phone support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ASSESSMENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if a client is not ready to start services, a free consultation by one of our clinical<br>case managers can be helpful. There are always questions or issues discovered in<br>person that are difficult to identify over the phone.<br>\u200b<br>\uf0b7 The case manager will evaluate the client&#8217;s needs and environment to determine<br>what skills are needed in a caregiver.<br>\u200b<br>\uf0b7 They also discuss the wishes and expectations of the client and family in regards<br>to the caregiver to identify the best personality fit for the client.<br>\u200b<br>\uf0b7 If the client is ready to start services, the case manager completes the required<br>paperwork and creates a care plan for the client which stays in the home and is<br>regularly updated to ensure quality communication between case manager,<br>caregivers and client.<br>\u200b<br>\uf0b7 Once the admissions paperwork is complete, the case manager meets with the<br>scheduler to identify the best candidates from available caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SERVICES BEGIN<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Services typically begin as early as the next day but same-day service can be arranged<br>depending on the availability of caregivers. Schedules are flexible and services can be<br>cancelled at any time.
